Exploration that teaches.
Arpente is an endless world the child discovers step by step. Every territory crossed becomes a living lesson: geography, science, mathematics, history. You explore for pleasure; you learn without realising it.
Planned for late 2026, on all platforms.
Provisional name.
A school curriculum disguised as an adventure
Behind every game mechanic lies a notion from the French primary curriculum (cycles 2 and 3). The child does not revise: they explore, observe, solve, and progress.
Geography: discovering the world’s environments
The world is organised into natural environments — desert, savanna, forest, tundra, ice — that only border one another when they are neighbours. The child understands, by walking, why desert and ice never touch.
Finding one’s way: cardinal points and orientation
Route clues are given as “head north-east”. A natural way to learn to find one’s bearings and read a direction.
Mathematics: coordinates, distances, scale
The map is a grid. The child reads coordinates, compares distances and handles scale and proportion without knowing it.
Life sciences: observing and classifying animals
The creatures encountered are real animals of each environment. Meeting them fills an observation notebook the child learns to sort and classify.
History: a timeline to walk through
A mode turns the world into a historical timeline, from prehistory to the digital age, to place the major periods of the cycle 3 curriculum.
Thinking and languages: riddles to open chests
Every chest opens with a challenge: mental arithmetic, careful reading of an instruction, or first English vocabulary tied to the environment.
Sustainability: managing a resource that runs out
Water sources dry up. The child learns to anticipate and to spare a limited resource: a first awareness of ecology.
A real tool for the teacher
Arpente is driven from a teacher dashboard, designed for supervised group use with no technical hurdles.
An adjustable world
The teacher picks the theme, the level and the length of the session, and switches off hazards with one gesture.
Same code, same world
A simple code or QR code gives the whole class the same world: each pupil traces their own path, and the teacher compares the journeys.
A session report
At the end of a game, a summary shows the pupil’s route and observation notebook, ready to discuss in class.
Accessible to non-readers
Every text can be read aloud, so that the youngest can play on their own.
Safe, sober, respectful
No account, no data
No sign-up, no pupil data collected or sent. Designed for children from the outset, in compliance with the GDPR.
No distraction
No ads, no hidden purchase, no stressful timer. Nothing to pull the child away from discovery.
